The MOT test ensures all vehicles meet the MOT standards and are fit for road use. Once your vehicle is 3 years old, it requires MOT testing on a yearly basis. However, you can renew your MOT within a month before it expires.
When your vehicle has passed the MOT test, you will get a certificate to declare your vehicle has a valid MOT. This will be recorded to a central MOT database. When a vehicle fails it’s MOT test, you will receive a ‘notification of failure’ and will list all points your vehicle has failed on and these must be assessed and put right before you can obtain a valid MOT certificate. A FREE no obligation quote will be given at this point if required.
The cost for an MOT test at our Portsmouth based garage, is currently just £35.00! Reduced from the standard fee of £54.85 – A Class 7 MOT test (vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes) is £58.60. You can find out more information about MOT tests on the GOV.UK MOT information pages.
